Lifelong Learning

Lifelong learning

Lifelong learning is the "ongoing, voluntary, and self-motivated" pursuit of knowledge for either personal or professional reasons. Therefore, it not only enhances social inclusion, active citizenship, and personal development, but also self-sustainability, as well as competitiveness and employability. Lifelong learning means that learn from birth to death. learning is not only in school but learning is for all things in life. In the past, lifelong learning has typically been limited to resources available to you in your institution. Social technologies empower us to connect with others in ways that were previously impossible or inefficient. Technology tools can be leveraged to support lifelong learning in two ways: personal learning environments (PLE) and professional learning networks (PLN).

Personal Learning Environments (PLE). Teachers need to be able to structure their experiences with the internet in a way that allows them to continually learn and grow. Various tools can be used to support the construction of your personal learning environment. Each person has the capacity to construct her or his own Personal Learning Environment (PLE) that is suited to their individual tastes and interests.

a. Scenario 1 - The Social Learner

b. Scenario 2 - The Seeker

c. Scenario 3 - The Micro-Celebrity

Reflection of Lifelong Learning the three lifelong learning scenarios that are most appealing to me is The Social Learner because I often seek learning resources from the web, blogs, then I also learn a lot from social media. Like TikTok there, I often get learning materials such as tenses, new vocabulary, and so on. Then I also use telegram to get online books and online journals to add to my learning resources, I prefer social things because for me they are easier to do, and can be accessed from anywhere and at any time. even so I also sometimes read the books that I have. For me, that's a positive thing that we can get from social media so that besides being entertained, we can also add to the knowledge we have by reading, seeing, or hearing about it.
